Personnel recommendations were approved for teaching positions. The superintendent provided an update on the state budget, playground upgrades at Max Larson Elementary, and the summer food program. Action items included approval for playground equipment at Max Larson Elementary, the renewal of NWA MAP growth and reading fluency assessments, Goguardian license renewals, a professional learning agreement with Marzano and Associates, entrance door replacements at Lincoln Learning Center, the Jefferson bus loop paving project, and the renewal of the mystery science curriculum.

The board discussed the 2026-2027 budget and received presentations on behavioral support programs implemented at an elementary school. Personnel actions were approved, including several new hires, resignations, and the appointment of coaching staff. The board accepted various monetary gifts, approved financial statements, and reviewed building and curriculum reports. Additionally, the board adopted revised policies, approved maintenance and restoration contracts for athletic facilities, authorized the purchase of a kitchen appliance, established a new math course sequence at the high school, and adopted an athletic membership resolution. The meeting also included approvals for a digital literacy course at the middle school, district-wide culture initiative purchases, installation of security access controls at the aquatic center, and the purchase of two new school buses.

Key highlights included the presentation of enrichment team awards in PE, STEM, music, and art, as well as NWA growth and achievement awards in reading and math. Additionally, the event featured the introduction of the Cardinal of the Year award and recognized students' leadership through service projects and extracurricular involvement.
