The council held an organizational meeting to introduce members and elect a co-chair. The council received a presentation from the Director of Construction regarding updates on current and planned major campus construction projects for the 2013/2014 academic year.
The council conducted a community engagement review of the Campus Town Project presented by consultants. The discussion resulted in several recommendations, including marketing the complex at college events, surveying faculty and staff, incorporating a restaurant or bar into the retail mix, creating student employment and internship opportunities during the development phases, purchasing student art, and scheduling open forums for further project feedback.
