It is driven by staff and community input, addressing outdated spaces and modern learning needs within the CCISD. The proposal focuses on creating future-ready learning environments across four key areas: Career & Technical Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, and Professional Development. Key initiatives include centralizing CCISD services at a new Hancock facility, renovating the current CTE building for early childhood learning, and expanding services to Baraga County. The plan aims to provide modern, efficient, and accessible services, increase program capacity, and foster regional economic development through a proposed $45 million bond referendum.
