Egremont Board Of Health Meeting Minutes
The Board discussed recent public health issues including a cyclospora outbreak, Canadian wildfire smoke affecting air quality, and drought conditions. Planning for the upcoming flu and Covid annual vaccination clinic was confirmed. The Board reviewed the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's new food-borne illness tracking program, Report My Meal. Regarding the installation of a Town Hall PFAS treatment unit, quotes were reviewed, with a final recommendation to the Select Board to be made at a future date. Results from a microplastics survey were presented, and the Board planned an outreach program to local food establishments concerning non-plastic alternatives.
