Periland City Council Special Meeting
The City Council held a special meeting to discuss items on the agenda, including citizen comments. The council deliberated on whether to extend the meeting beyond its scheduled 6:30 p.m. cutoff time, with legal guidance suggesting that extending could potentially violate the Texas Open Meetings Act. Consequently, the meeting was adjourned at the scheduled time to allow for the subsequent regular meeting, with an acknowledgment that citizen comments could be addressed during the public comment section of the next meeting.
