The meeting included a project review for a 3.2-acre boutique hotel development, which resulted in the approval of a Site Plan Design Review Modification. Public hearings were held regarding two Conditional Use Permits: one for establishing an indoor pickleball facility at 4650 Arroyo Vista and another for an indoor-outdoor event space with a rooftop bar at 180 South Livermore Avenue. Additional administrative items included an inquiry into the use of AI in project evaluation by the Commission.

The Committee focused on several key items including providing final recommendations for the landscape design and volunteering opportunity at a City facility, receiving a presentation on developing an Adopt-a-Road program to improve civic engagement and litter reduction, and receiving an update on outreach efforts for the 2026 Beautification and Community Service Awards.

The commission reviewed an update regarding the 2026 Work Plan Item #5 concerning resource nominations to state or national registers. Additionally, the commission planned for the presentation of a previously approved historic plaque for 1707 Third Street to the homeowner.

The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing to receive comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Livermore General Plan 2045 and related municipal and development code amendments. The discussion covered topics such as population projections, agricultural resources, the Urban Growth Boundary, housing units, local labor standards, and the methodology of the Environmental Impact Report.

The Commission reviewed a report on airport aircraft operations, activity, and noise concerns from the previous month. Additionally, a presentation was delivered by the Senior Assistant City Attorney regarding the Brown Act and Rules of Procedure.
