Planning Board Planning Board Meeting
The meeting agenda included a public hearing concerning a property on Farmland Road, currently owned by Dollar, involving the creation of a two-acre lot to accommodate a house and two existing buildings, which raised concerns from a neighboring property owner regarding right-of-way encroachment and septic system proximity. Further discussion addressed the possibility of the property being archaeologically sensitive, requiring clearance for development. Another key discussion focused on a historic building renovation project (Item 1484), which involved adding one residential unit, increasing the total to six units, and potential parking issues, specifically noting that existing parking spaces for a liquor store and the post office appeared to be partially located in roadways or on railroad property. Board members discussed the application requirements, including the need for necessary forms and adherence to zoning codes regarding buffer areas.

Conservation Board Meeting
Key discussions during the meeting involved the approval of minutes from the November 24th meeting and the subsequent election of Denine Clap as Vice Chair. Topics covered included a property split request for 1681 Inland Farmer Town Line Road, which requires further engineering review before the public hearing scheduled for the March planning board meeting. A property line merge for parcels on Roosevelt Highway (3029 and 3041) was approved as a Type Two SEQRA action. A residential sketch plan for 170 single-family homes on Lake Road West Fork was presented, but no final decision was made, noting it would require a Type One action if moved forward. The board also approved a residential sketch plan allowing the sale of a 41-acre lot to Brightly Farms. Updates included the formation and member approval for the Tomingham Agricultural Advisory Committee and ongoing zoning workshops concerning solar projects and the moratorium. Information was shared regarding the dangers and restrictions associated with the Oak Blight, which affects certain oak species. Furthermore, an update on advertising efforts for Lake Ontario Fisheries through Google advertising was provided, and access to the new GIS system layers for mapping conservation-related data was discussed.
