This guidance document outlines the comprehensive process for the periodic review and reauthorization of Academic Unit Institutes/Centers (AUCIs). It details a three-component review system, including an internally-generated self-study report, an external peer review culminating in an evaluation report, and an external review response outlining specific actions. The document also covers procedures for AUCI reauthorization, modification, or termination, and integration with Academic Program Review. The primary objective is to ensure AUCIs effectively advance their missions, facilitate interdisciplinary scholarship, and align with the university's strategic priorities and goals.
