The commission reviewed and approved requests for property improvements, including the stabilization of a garage wall and removal of windows at 2601 Scottwood, as well as the installation of a new garage door at 2720 Scottwood. Discussions were held regarding the 2026 meeting schedule and legislative updates concerning retroactive Certificate of Appropriateness applications and penalty structures for unpermitted work. The members also debated strategies for improving public awareness regarding historic district designations for homeowners and contractors, including potential signage and realtor disclosure forms.

This Strategic Plan outlines the City of Toledo's vision for growth and future development. It identifies five key priorities: building safe, vibrant, and connected neighborhoods; promoting economic growth and inclusive opportunity; delivering exceptional city services and modernizing infrastructure; securing Toledo's financial future; and cultivating a thriving workforce. The plan's overarching goal is to increase the resident population to 300,000 by 2045, ensuring Toledo becomes a preferred place to live, fostering community pride, and preparing for future generations through continuous improvement and innovation.

The commission reviewed two applications for Certificates of Appropriateness. The first request involved the installation of a new exterior door and storm door at a residential property, which was previously deferred. The second request involved the installation of a new wood shed on a property where the commission staff recommended disapproval due to existing code limitations regarding the number of accessory structures permitted on a single lot.

The Commission approved a request to install a new aluminum storefront door into an existing window opening at the Collingwood Presbyterian Church to provide improved accessibility for a planned event center. Additionally, there was a presentation regarding proposed exterior renovations for the future Coin Museum at the former Professional Building, including discussions on mural removal and a new vestibule. The Commission also reviewed updates on pending legislation regarding retroactive certificates and demolition, while expressing concerns about damage to neighboring properties during demolitions and past project quality control issues. Finally, the commission reviewed various administrative approvals for roofing and minor exterior repairs.
