This Recreation Plan for the Town of Mammoth Lakes envisions the area as a premier gateway for boundless adventure, inspiring and renewing individuals in the Eastern High Sierra. Its mission is to deliver seamless recreation experiences through collaboration, ensuring quality life experiences for generations. The plan outlines five key strategies: providing diverse recreation programming, engaging in comprehensive recreation planning, fostering communication and participation, coordinating facility maintenance, and ensuring responsible recreation management to deliver results and accountability.

The council received updates regarding local housing needs for vehicle residents, activities from the Chamber of Commerce, and tourism engagement initiatives. Departmental updates included a presentation on adult recreation programs, public works progress, social media reporting, and an engineering update. The council approved the extension of a professional services agreement with Mammoth Lakes Housing, Inc. and authorized the purchase of a hangar at the airport for equipment storage. Additionally, a closed session was held regarding property negotiations, followed by an announcement that no reportable action was taken.

The Town Council discussed a request for a Public Convenience or Necessity Letter for a liquor license at 37 Old Mammoth Road, which was approved.
