The Board discussed a minor subdivision and a major site plan modification for the construction of a mixed-use building and addition at 976 Elmwood. While members expressed support for the proposed modifications, a final decision was deferred to allow for further meetings between the applicant and the community.

The Buffalo Common Council addressed various agenda items, including the acceptance of Move-In NY grant funds, application for the CFA Climate Smart Communities Grant, and funding applications for the HCR NY Main Street Program. The Council reviewed personnel appointments, such as the Deputy Director of Grants Management and Deputy Finance Officer, and approved the purchase of tow trucks for the Parking Department. Additionally, the meeting covered multiple legal referrals, permit applications, and property licensing requests.

The committee meeting addressed various new and tabled items related to city development and management. New business included discussions on delinquent tax liens, the annual Putting the Neighbor Back in the Hood event, constituent concerns regarding city pools, and property concerns at 596 South Park. Additionally, a wide range of long-standing items were tabled, including landlord retaliation, public works week resolutions, traffic infrastructure, pedestrian crossings, housing conditions, lease agreement extensions, and various property management and development inquiries.

The Claims Committee meeting focused on reviewing and recommending approval for several legal and financial items submitted by the Law Department. These items included personal injury and general litigation claims involving Hackney, Tiffany & Minor Plaintiff and Richard Smith, as well as prior year fiscal invoices for Ferguson Electric, Inc. and Buffalo Civil Auto Ramps, Inc.

The Zoning Board of Appeals reviewed an agenda item regarding a property at 657 Clinton Street. The board discussed and addressed a variance request for the construction of a building that exceeded the maximum building width regulations in a N-3E zone.
