Marietta Board of Education Regular Meeting
The board addressed a wide range of administrative and operational items. The consent agenda included approval of financial encumbrances, the superintendent's roles, various service contracts for auditing and lawn maintenance, out-of-state travel requests, and memoranda of understanding for truancy and early childhood programs. Actions were taken to approve certified and non-certified staff serving as adjuncts, the district student handbook, and the extra duty pay scale for the upcoming fiscal year. Additionally, the board adopted several district policies covering topics such as background checks, leave, artificial intelligence, and student transfers. An agreement with the Oklahoma State School Boards Association for facility planning was authorized. Following an executive session to discuss employment, the board hired two teacher's aides, while the decision regarding a child nutrition worker was tabled. Several employee resignations were also accepted.
