The Parks Commission meeting included discussions on several park-related initiatives. Key topics included the review of the park reservation policy, which will remain largely unchanged for the upcoming year to allow for more data collection, though the addition of the Ridge Park ballfield as a reservable amenity is under consideration. Updates were provided on the partnership with Stillwater Schools Community Education for pilot programming, and a status update was given for the Central Park planning project, which is entering the community engagement phase with a planned survey. Specific actions involved recommendations for baseball field donations and improvements at Ridge and VFW parks, the approval of an extended hours request for a stargazing event at Sunfish Lake Park, and decisions regarding the purchase and installation of a shade structure at Pilot Park.
