The board is considering the approval to authorize the Chancellor or designee to negotiate and execute a contract on behalf of Lone Star College to purchase a catalog and curriculum tracking software solution with Kauli, Inc. The initial contract term will be for a three-year period with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods based on mutual consent. The College is seeking to gain access to an online tool to more efficiently and effectively develop its academic catalog and related content.
The board is considering the approval to authorize the Chancellor or designee to amend the contract on behalf of Lone Star College for the purchase of the Kuali Build Module of the Catalog and Curriculum Tracking Software Solution. The proposed amendment for the addition of the Kuali Build module will allow the electronic review of curriculum in transfer coursework and collaborative decision-making for implementation in programs offered at the College.
The meeting included the reorganization of the Board of Trustees, where a new chair, vice chair, secretary, and assistant secretary were elected. The board approved the minutes from previous meetings and discussed special reports, including a COVID-19 update and spring enrollment figures.
