Wheaton College Press Conference
The press conference followed a 2-0 loss to St. Olaf in the Elite 8 of the NCAA Men's Soccer tournament. The coach expressed pride in his team's performance, particularly noting improvement in rhythm and control, especially in the second half, compared to the previous game against MacAllister. Tactical adjustments were made at halftime concerning the press, which helped disrupt St. Olaf's possession-based play in the second half. The coach also reflected on the season, highlighting the strong culture developed within the team and praising the growth of the senior class, many of whom evolved into all-conference level players from their freshman years.

St. Olaf College's strategic plan, "Our Strategic Plan for a Bright Future 2024-30," focuses on developing "solution seekers"—students prepared to contribute meaningfully to the world. The plan builds upon the college's liberal arts foundation, enhancing it with pre-professional programs and advising to create a "liberal arts plus" education. Three main goals guide the plan: elevate vocation (improving access to internships, research, and study abroad), expand innovation (cultivating creativity and collaboration across programs and centers), and sustain the community (fostering belonging, well-being, and financial stability). The plan aims to produce leaders of character, innovative thinkers, engaged citizens, experiential learners, and culturally competent global explorers.
