Reporting updates indicated that in FY2025, 43 agencies complied with reporting, resulting in approximately $13.2 million in green spend, with Electronics and IT being the largest category. Vendor reporting showed approximately $44.5 million in green spend.

The meeting included a presentation on MDOT's waste reduction activities, including energy-efficient lighting, recycling and reuse, composting, and sustainable landscaping, stemming from the Climate Solutions Now Act of 2022. An introduction to the MDOT Commuter Choice Program was given, aimed at reducing car commuting through incentives like ridesharing and transit benefits. Updates were provided on GPC activities, including a webinar on advancing procurement and a field trip to TurboHaul Mattress Recycling Facility. The committee discussed specifications in draft form for HVAC, flooring, and outdoor furniture, and reviewed the Q4 reporting for the Fiscal Year of 2025, with a focus on agencies reporting green products. The GPC is also looking to obtain green purchasing reports for landscaping & IPM services.

These draperies, discovered in storage, were installed thanks to donations from former Senator Marty Madden and Bobby Neal.

Upcoming training and events were discussed, including a Green Purchasing Specialization, a Green Janitorial Supplies Specification Workshop, and a TurboHaul facility tour. There was also an update on agency reporting.
