This strategic plan, also referred to as a Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP), outlines the district's long-term direction from 2023 to 2028. It is structured around three core goals: Student Learning, Align Goals, and Critical Issues. The plan aims to ensure all students become success-ready graduates by focusing on academic proficiency, student responsibility, and career/technical education, while also developing building-level improvement plans and addressing critical issues related to facilities, finances, safety, and staffing.

This document outlines a series of shared goals and actionable strategies applied across Holman Middle School, Heights Middle School, and Pattonville High School. The plan focuses on three key areas: enhancing student academic performance and application of state standards, fostering responsible citizenship through targeted interventions and leadership development, and developing comprehensive plans to address critical operational issues such as funding, staffing, safety, and facilities. Each goal is supported by specific targets and action steps tailored to each institution.

The Pattonville School District Board of Education held a regular open meeting where they discussed various topics, including district news and events such as the Mark Twain Book Battle and the Taste of Pattonville. They recognized students and staff for their achievements and contributions. The board also discussed and took action on items such as the approval of regular bills and P-Card purchases, surplus sale items, school year calendar revisions, policy reviews, and Missouri School Boards' Association dues. Additionally, they approved consent groupings for action related to program evaluations, policy revisions, and business matters like the Apple Master Lease Purchase Agreement, district-wide time clock replacement, book class sets, student books, and playground equipment purchase. They also handled human resources matters, including additions to staff lists, employment, continuation of employment, and separations. The meeting adjourned to a closed session for personnel matters.

The Board of Education held a work session to discuss leadership messaging for the upcoming school year, customer and employee experience, student attendance and discipline dashboards, summer programming feedback, board proclamations, Portrait of a Graduate, SchooLinks, a student and parent communication tool, school discipline referrals and form workflow, electronic hall pass, areas of focus for the Director of Safety, Security, and Emergency Management, school improvement planning, professional development planning, students and cell phones, high school student support and planning, board meeting software evaluation, elections, board member school visits and events, board committee assignments, and MSBA conference planning.

The meeting included a superintendent's update, highlighting the start of the school year, upcoming homecoming events, recognition for Bridgeway Elementary, and Pattonville High School's ranking in the U.S. News & World Report. There was also a facilities update and a report from the student representative. The board discussed elementary building CSIP updates. They approved regular bills, financial statements, P-Card purchases, surplus sale items, and bond sales. Additionally, they reviewed, revised, and rescinded policies. The board also approved the renewal of transportation services, electric work for a digital sign, and medical stop-loss insurance. They approved additions to the certified staff guest educator list and the substitute support staff list, as well as employment and separation of support staff and extra assignment contracts.
