The National Tribal Broadband Strategy is a comprehensive roadmap for federal action and investment aimed at eliminating the digital divide in broadband access and adoption for American Indian and Alaska Native communities. It focuses on seven key strategies: coordination among stakeholders, improvement of data collection and reporting, expansion of network infrastructure (backhaul, middle mile, spectrum), promotion of public and private investment, reduction of permitting complexity and delays, fostering broadband adoption in homes and businesses, and leveraging broadband for economic development. The strategy seeks to achieve equitable connectivity and empower Tribal self-governance and self-determination.
