The Continuous School Improvement Plan for North Platte R-I School District aims to empower individuals and develop lifelong learners by fostering a positive, thought-provoking environment. Key priorities include student learning and success, retaining highly qualified teachers and staff, and ensuring the safety and security (physical and emotional) of students and staff. The plan outlines SMART goals to increase student achievement by 3% annually and maintain state average scores by Spring 2028, ensure 100% college and career readiness for graduates by the 2025 graduating class, attract and retain 100% highly qualified staff by Fall 2027, and provide comprehensive strategies for social and emotional wellbeing to 100% of students and staff by Spring 2025.

The meeting included an update on Proposition K.I.D.S. along with reports on the current fiscal year budget and projections for the upcoming year. New business items included the sale of bonds from Proposition K.I.D.S., review of the district calendar, consideration of mowing bids, and disposal of surplus items. The board also discussed hosting a fall MSBA meeting and reviewed results from the Panther Perk survey, followed by an executive session.

The agenda for the regular session included reviewing receipts and the treasurer's report, and addressing old business such as updates on the CSIP, MEUHP health insurance assessment, Proposition K.I.D.S., and budget projections/updates for 2025-2026 and 2026-2027. New business focused on several contract and policy reviews, specifically the 2026-2027 Food Services Contract, 2026-2029 Transportation Services Contract, 2026-2029 Apptegy Communication Contract, Preschool Tuition, 2026-2027 Certified and Extra Duty Salary Schedules, the Behavioral Threat Assessment Policy, and the Ellison-Auxier Architect Contract, as well as 2026 Summer School Dates. The session concluded with a motion to adjourn to an executive session.

The Schoolwide Program Plan focuses on supplemental instruction in Math, Reading and English Language Arts. The plan includes strategies such as pull-out/resource classroom, push-in/regular classroom, summer school, and tutoring. The plan aims to provide opportunities for all children, including subgroups of students, to meet the Missouri Learning Standards (MLS) through small group instruction and individualized support. It also focuses on addressing the needs of students at risk of not meeting MLS, improving skills outside academic subject areas, and helping students prepare for postsecondary education and the workforce. Additionally, the plan includes professional development for teachers and paraprofessionals to improve instruction and the use of data.
