The Curriculum Committee held its first meeting to discuss new academic offerings. The committee also reviewed operational procedures, including the use of acronyms and meeting management.

The board discussed the special education budget, highlighting an increase in contracted clinical services and specialized staff needs. Key topics included the rising student numbers with exceptionalities, the expansion of in-district programs to reduce reliance on out-of-district placements, and the challenges associated with special education transportation and tuition costs. The administration also addressed the ongoing advocacy for legislative action regarding caps on out-of-district placement tuitions and the regionalization of special education transportation services to mitigate rising costs.

The Board discussed healthy food certification for the upcoming fiscal year, reviewed financial reports including deficits in salary lines due to staffing adjustments and sub costs, and addressed grants status. The Board also reviewed the school lunch program performance in light of rising operational costs and upcoming contract renewals, evaluated special education clinical costs and student placement issues, and discussed school enrollment reports and redistricting impacts. A moment of silence was held in memory of a former community leader, and the high school unified sports program was recognized for its achievements in fostering inclusion and leadership. Public comment was received regarding the importance of recognizing the religious holiday of Eid in the school calendar.
