The Commission held a special work session to conduct an interview for the Great Falls Regional Airport Authority Board member vacancy. The process involved members asking questions of the applicant to determine whether to make an appointment or re-advertise the board position.

The council received presentations regarding the 2025 Impact Report from NeighborWorks, which included details on a community clean-up event, home buyer initiatives, and grant updates. The Park Manager provided reports on the search for a new director, technological improvements to irrigation systems, and park funding. Additionally, the development director of Family Promise discussed local housing programs and the continuum of care. Other topics included neighborhood concerns regarding a dilapidated vehicle, a candidate introduction, and discussion of upcoming community projects.

The meeting included a review and approval of updated bylaws. A representative from the City of Great Falls Public Works provided updates on various traffic and pedestrian safety concerns, including speed studies, visibility issues, and requested signage at several locations. Other business topics included the sale progression and zoning issues at Eagle's Manor, an increase in local crime metrics, staffing challenges within the police department, neighborhood communication strategies, and updates regarding the local unhoused youth population. Additionally, the council approved a new process for collecting email addresses to facilitate future notifications.

The council reviewed committee reports including updates on signage for the Vinegar Jones Cabin and the Garden footbridge, as well as planning stages for the Great Walls mural project. Discussions were held regarding city safety funding and a potential future levy. Neighborhood concerns were raised regarding conflicting city and state laws for camper parking. Additionally, the council discussed a summer social grant application, organized a community clean-up event for Gibson Park, and planned for a tour of Calumet facilities.

The meeting included reports on community health initiatives, specifically regarding vaccine availability and upcoming eligibility changes. The Commission approved appointments to the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners and the Audit Committee. Updates were provided on the progress of the Aim High Big Sky Recreation Center, including site planning, traffic considerations, and architectural design modifications. Additionally, the City Manager discussed the ongoing internal recruitment for a new Police Chief and detailed the potential allocation and usage of funds provided under the American Rescue Plan.
