Truman City Council Regular Meeting
The council received a department update from the Sheriff's Office regarding recent events. Public works business included discussions on storm sewer maintenance, sidewalk project updates, ash tree treatment and removal, and the proposal of a community garden project. A request for a rent refund by a former building tenant was reviewed and denied. The council approved multiple grants, authorized the reimbursement of the electric fund from the campground reserve, and adopted resolutions to accept funds from the Department of Transportation, a grant for the Fire Department, and various donations. The 2027 budget draft was reviewed, claims were approved for payment, a date and rate increase for cleanup day were finalized, and an appointment for an Assistant Pool Manager was approved.
