The board meeting update covered several key initiatives, including a community engagement report on school finance and an update on the superintendent search. Achievements of the QHS Winter State Qualifiers were recognized across various athletics programs. Administrative actions included the approval of personnel appointments and assignments, the formalization of staff resignations, the award of the ECFC roof project contract, and the appointment of members to the finance and building and grounds committees. Additionally, the board rejected all bids for the ECFC HVAC project and provided updates on the upcoming school calendar and graduation schedule.

The board convened for a special meeting, during which the primary business conducted was entering into an executive session to discuss personnel matters, including the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific school district employees.

The meeting agenda includes a consent agenda covering the treasurer's report, check register, activity funds, IESA membership, and travel for the QHS wrestling team. Committee reports will be presented from the Building, District Improvement, Finance, Discipline, and Policy committees, with specific discussions on HVAC replacement and trash service bids, as well as policy updates. New business will address the 2025-2026 amended school calendar. An executive session is planned to discuss personnel, collective bargaining, real property transactions, student discipline, and litigation, with subsequent action on matters arising from these discussions and personnel items.

The Board honored thirty-two All-State musicians and heard a presentation regarding the growth and services of the Bella Ease program. Reports were provided on the hiring of a new school principal, community engagement workshops, student academic progress based on winter assessment data, and favorable results from a recent bond refunding. The Board adopted numerous updated policies to comply with collective bargaining agreements and approved a variety of annual grants and allocations. Additionally, the Board authorized a Discipline Improvement Plan, awarded an electric bid for high school grid infrastructure, passed a resolution for the sale of general obligation school bonds, and approved leases for three vans. The meeting also included student discipline actions and the approval of a personnel addendum covering various appointments, resignations, leaves of absence, and retirements.
