This Comprehensive Plan serves as a roadmap for the City of Lenexa, guiding decisions and actions to realize a vision of a vibrant, growing community welcoming to all. The plan addresses future land use, housing and neighborhoods, commercial and employment areas, transportation and mobility, community facilities and infrastructure, and parks, open space, and recreation. It aims to achieve an inclusive community with diverse housing, robust economic opportunities, efficient multi-modal transportation, high-quality services, and enhanced natural assets, building upon the principles of Vision 2040.

The council addressed several agenda items, including a bid award for the Santa Fe Trail Drive public improvements project and the acceptance of easements for the Highlands at Clear Creek final plat. Members approved the 2026-2027 insurance program, authorized a Community Development Block Grant project extension for streetlights, and considered various dedications of easements to Johnson County Wastewater.
