William James College Strategic Plan 2023-2028

William James College's 2023-2028 Strategic Plan addresses the national behavioral health crisis by focusing on five key pillars: supporting faculty, staff, and field supervisors through enhanced teaching pedagogy, technological literacy, and the integration of transformative social and emotional learning; owning the New England market for professional psychology education through increased thought leadership and a regional branding campaign; becoming experts in educating a multicultural mental health workforce by investing in diverse academic programming, expanding career development programs, and building sustainable partnerships; expanding and diversifying revenue sources to reduce dependence on tuition; and optimizing the student experience by fostering a sense of belonging, providing focused support for online students, and offering relevant professional development opportunities. The plan aims to improve the lives of others by preparing students to apply psychology training in real-world settings, particularly addressing the needs of historically marginalized communities and working to address the significant shortage of behavioral health professionals.
