Orange Unified School District Regular Board Meeting
The Board of Education conducted a meeting that included a public hearing regarding the Orange Unified Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Local Plan, which was subsequently approved. The Board also approved the equal allocation of accrued interest from Measure S proceeds to the four comprehensive high schools for Phase 3 projects. Additional items addressed included an appeal process for school facility fees, a first reading of proposed revisions to Board policies and bylaws, and a status update on the District of Excellence. Furthermore, the Board acted on a wide range of consent items involving business and human resources, such as service agreements for fire safety, environmental consulting, and geotechnical monitoring, as well as approvals for playground replacements, outdoor learning centers, signature authorizations, and the renewal of property and liability coverage.
