The meeting started with the pledge of allegiance. There was an announcement about a visit from a representative of the restaurant school at Walnut Hill College on February 23rd and 24th to discuss culinary and hotel management programs. The Class of 2029 held a fundraiser selling snacks on February 13th. Information was provided regarding a $1,000 scholarship opportunity for aspiring teachers with applications due April 3rd, 2026. Raffle tickets were sold throughout the week until February 18th to support mental health at Boon, with a drawing scheduled for February 20th. Shout outs were given to freshman swimmers Emily Gaskins and Avery Busin for their performance at the BCIAA swimming championship, and congratulations were extended to the girls bowling teams for clinching the division 2 title.

This document provides mid-year updates on a strategic plan centered around four primary goals: High-Quality Education, Joy, Wellness, & Safety, Communication, Trust, & School Pride, and Efficient, High-Quality, & Cost Effective Operations. A dedicated Athletic Department Plan is also included as a strategic priority. This work session, opened to the public for discussion section by section, included several key reports and action items. Personnel actions included approving retirements and resignations, leaves of absence, and appointments for spring coaches and a future football head coach. The session concluded with public comment where concerns were raised about students learning cursive writing.

The Daniel Boone Area School District's Athletic Department Strategic Plan aims to provide meaningful, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate opportunities for student-athletes.
