Town of Sutton Town Meeting
The meeting addressed three specific warrant articles. Article 10 proposed a home rule petition to officially convey the property at 38 Main Street to the residents of 40 Main Street, resolving a long-standing clerical error from the 1970s where the town erroneously taxed the wrong property. Article 11 requested the appropriation of $40,000 to repair the sprinkler system at the police station by decommissioning one of the three oversized water tanks that had been leaking. Article 12 involved a citizen's petition to amend the zoning map to rezone portions of 430 and 434 Putnam Hill Road from rural residential to village zoning.
