Governor's Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI) Summary
The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting included updates from TAC members on various climate-related initiatives, including efforts by the CDPH, CNRA, OES, and Sonoma Water. ICARP programmatic updates were provided, including updates on the California's 5th Climate Assessment and the Vulnerable Communities Platform. The committee also discussed nature-based solutions, urban forestry, healthy soils, worker safety in relation to climate issues, and funding and governance for nature-based solutions. Case studies were presented on urban forestry in Palo Alto and East Palo Alto, the Sequoia Riverlands Trust, and the Healthy Soils Program in Siskiyou County. The meeting also covered the implementation of nature-based solutions in the Eastern Sierra.
