A central discussion topic was the recommendation for school consolidation, specifically regarding the potential closure of an elementary school for the 2027-2028 academic year. The presentation highlighted several factors driving this proposal, including long-term declining enrollment, surplus facility capacity, the aging status of school buildings, and future financial pressures. The district confirmed that all relevant data and reports discussed during the session have been published to the district website for community access.
