Additional topics included the ongoing search for an administrative hire, a meet-and-greet with a long-standing civilian staff member, updates from the Detachment Commander on officer placement, youth policing initiatives, and upcoming local events.

The meeting was held to open submissions for EOI 2026-09-CRS concerning a tenant opportunity at the myFM Centre. One submission was received from Q-Cycle & Sport, which was then transferred to the Community & Recreation Services Department for further review and verification prior to an official award.

The council received a presentation regarding the 2026 to 2035 long-term budget outlook. Discussion focused on the budgeting landscape, the implementation of new budgeting software, asset management funding challenges, capital planning strategies, and the potential impact of different levy increase scenarios on the town's financial stability and debt management.

The council held a closed session meeting to discuss several key items, including a property purchase at 436 Lisgar Avenue, potential surplus designation for the 67 Argal Street recreation center, and legal actions regarding a tenant matter at the myFM Centre. Additionally, the council assessed a project slab, approved the expression of interest for a tenant space at the myFM Centre, and authorized human resources to negotiate employment terms with a preferred Chief Administrative Officer candidate.

The council held a public meeting to discuss a zoning bylaw amendment concerning additional dwelling unit policy provisions to increase housing options and ensure conformity with the Planning Act. Other agenda items included municipal announcements, upcoming community events such as Canada Day and National Indigenous People's Day, and updates on municipal election voter registration. The committee discussed reducing operating hours at the My FM center to achieve efficiency and reviewed a memorandum of understanding with the Renfrew Minor Hockey Association regarding facility access, programming, and community support.
