The Faculty Senate recommends a prioritization for sabbaticals occurring in Fall 2026, emphasizing first sabbaticals and those deferred due to university service. It suggests prioritizing leave requests that prepare faculty for new roles or further the university's mission in the wider community. The Senate requests notification by November 15, 2025, if budget constraints may prevent funding all sabbatical applications for Spring 2027, and recommends full reinstatement of sabbaticals when the financial situation allows.
