The Commission presented the 2015 Pride in Preservation Award for the Carpenter Residence and discussed its history. Discussions were held regarding research into neighboring municipalities' historic ordinances to potentially update the village ordinance, and the potential formation of a subcommittee for this purpose. The commission also discussed the renovation of the Hackett House, the acquisition of estate sale artifacts, and attempts to contact the owner of a property slated for demolition for documentation purposes.

The committee discussed the approval of the upcoming bill list and a resolution authorizing the purchase of three 2014 Ford F-250 pickup trucks through the State of Illinois Purchase Contract Program for the Public Works and Finance departments. Additionally, the meeting included a review of the Senior Transportation Program, a report on the 2014 transportation agenda, and announcements regarding upcoming municipal office closures and a scheduled joint meeting with District 158.

The Plan Commission meeting covered the approval of a Special Use Permit for an indoor recreation facility at the Huntley Gymnastics Academy, involving a review of zoning standards and conditions of operation. Additionally, the commission reviewed and recommended approval for a proposed Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment regarding various business uses such as antique sales, auction houses, currency exchanges, and pawn shops, following a moratorium on such developments. The commission also reviewed a future request concerning the development of a medical office building for Advocate Health Care.

This Gateway Plan outlines future land use and development for the commercial, office, and light industrial properties surrounding the I-90/IL 47 tollway interchange. The plan is designed to serve as a guide for the Village's continued economic development and will be adopted as an amendment to the Village's Comprehensive Plan upon completion.

The Committee discussed the upcoming bill list, a request for landbank parking space construction at Regency Square, and an amendment to the final planned unit development for the Talamore development to allow for revised home elevations. They also reviewed several options for the 2013 Ash Tree Replacement Program, the installation of a brick veneer on a retaining wall at Route 47 and Coral Street, and a payout request for the 2012 MFT Street Program. Finally, the committee reviewed the third-quarter financial and investment reports.
