The Syracuse Redevelopment Commission meeting included discussions on Tech Park lights. A solar light was trialed but deemed unsuitable due to remote connectivity issues, leading to a continued search for an appropriate lighting solution.

The council discussed raising the minimum fine for district violations, potentially increasing it from $15 to $50. They also considered whether the police commission needs to meet four times a year as currently mandated. Adjustments to an ordinance regarding a building commissioner were discussed to reflect the current state of the position, and the terminology was clarified to distinguish between the roles of the building commissioner and building inspector. Additionally, the council discussed reimbursement for flight travel using a personal vehicle and considered updating the language to base it on a standard rate.
