The Quinault Business Committee enacted the Quinault Indian Nation Ocean Fisheries General Commercial Regulations of 2008 to ensure future protection for the ocean fisheries. The regulations cover various aspects, including general provisions, authorization requirements for individuals and vessels, fishing and gear requirements, reporting and sale of catch, and violations and associated fines. These regulations aim to manage the Quinault fisheries effectively, ensure the safety of those exercising treaty fishing rights, and comply with the consent decree in United States v. Washington Subproceeding 88-1.
