A significant portion addressed the Governor's Workforce Taskforce and Subcabinet, detailing established goals such as creating a shared vision for the workforce, activating task forces to simplify entry, integrate data via a public dashboard, and improve warm handoffs. Performance measures were reviewed, focusing on strategic vision, customer focus, engagement, and information tracking. The evolving role of the council was discussed, including current focus areas like addressing the skills gap and occupational licensure reform, and potential new areas such as tech enablement and global talent. Finally, the agenda for the upcoming Governor's Workforce Summit on October 2 was presented.

The meeting commenced with the approval of the consent agenda items, which included financial reports and a modification to the Childcare Loan Program for Early Foundation, LLC. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to a performance audit update, noting that staff are actively fulfilling auditor requests with field work scheduled for January.
