Additionally, the meeting covered residential solar leasing, emphasizing customer protection, legal requirements regarding retail electricity provision, and the introduction of a new interconnection agreement with an attestation and disclosure form.

The technical meeting covered various procedural and compliance requirements for solar installations, including project wait times, safety protocols for rain, inspection pass rates, and NEC 2023 code cycle enforcement. Presentations emphasized the importance of preconstruction meetings for commercial projects, meter variance policies, and the necessity of proper documentation for line side taps. Participants were provided with guidance on interconnection processes, requirements for solar PV meters, surge protector mandates, and the importance of professional workmanship to ensure inspection success.

The meeting focused on operational updates, including current project application and inspection wait times, and safety protocols regarding tire maintenance. Presenters discussed the transition to a new ABC portal for permitting and inspection scheduling. A significant portion of the session was dedicated to the Value of Solar bill credit program, emphasizing that participating contractors must educate customers on the program and avoid references to net metering. The session concluded with information on a pending EPA Solar for All grant aimed at deploying solar and storage in disadvantaged communities, and an overview of a new standard offer approach for community solar project development.
