The board discussed Act 181 regarding statewide land-use planning and regional housing targets, and reviewed the transition of the JVS school property back to Town ownership. The Emergency Management Director presented an update to the Local Emergency Management Plan, and the board addressed appointments for the Fire Warden and Planning Commission members. Other items included approval for the Municipal Roads Grants-In-Aid participation, the rejection of engineering bids for the Goodaleville Bridge, approval of various liquor licenses and overweight permits, and authorization for Town Hall exterior painting.

The Board discussed and approved an Act 181 letter addressed to the Land Use Review Board. Additionally, the Board held a discussion regarding the Transfer Station, specifically confirming the requirement that all trash must be disposed of in containers and addressing the new token system.

The board discussed applying for a Flood Resilience Grant to support erosion and flood control. A contractor was selected for the Goodaleville Road culvert project following a bid review. The board adopted new certification standards for town roads and bridges. Other topics included the implications of Act 181 on land development and the potential for regionalized policing as outlined in bill S.255. Additionally, the board approved a municipal planning grant amendment, various liquor licenses, and a credit card limit increase. The meeting also covered upcoming information sessions regarding local school closures and administrative approvals for time sheets and pay orders.

The town meeting included a resolution honoring the civic contributions of residents Lexa and Steve Clark. Legislative updates were provided regarding Act 250 reform, local option tax surpluses, data center siting regulations, and education reform consolidation efforts. Additionally, there were discussions concerning broadband access and the status of fiber deployment, as well as inquiries regarding the Vermont National Guard's involvement in overseas deployments and the state's approach to affordable housing in rural areas.

The board conducted an organizational meeting to elect officers, including a Chair and Vice Chair, and appointed various town officials and liaisons, such as the road commissioner, tree warden, animal control officer, health officer, and representatives to regional commissions. Following the organizational session, the board held a regular meeting to discuss and approve the pricing structure for transfer station tokens and address permit requests.
