The City of Chippewa Falls Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan serves as a 20-year blueprint to establish the city as a Midwest leader in bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, safety, and accessibility. The plan focuses on guiding the development of facilities and operations to create viable and attractive active transportation choices, building upon a previous 1995 plan. Key goals include enhancing safety by reducing fatalities and injuries, promoting social, cultural, and economic vibrancy through increased activity, improving public health by encouraging active lifestyles, and ensuring equitable infrastructure access for all demographic groups, with a particular focus on areas around schools and downtown.

The upcoming public meeting for the Board of Public Works will address the consideration of a two-year agreement with Rain to Rivers for the Storm Water Education and Outreach Component of the WisDNR MS4 permit, for which a recommendation to the Common Council will be made.
