City of Chippewa Falls

The committee held a meeting to discuss a grievance filed by the Chippewa Falls International Association of Firefighters Local 1816. The Board discussed alley repaving processes and specific petitions for alley improvements in the Mansfield Addition, recommending Common Council approval for design processes. Discussions also covered a request for an equipment easement across City-owned property, with instructions to refine the lease language and area scope. Additionally, the Board appointed a professional engineer to the Groundwater Technical Review Committee, reviewed a development agreement for the Summit Ridge Phase 1 project, and addressed maintenance responsibilities for the Old Abe State Trail.

The Plan Commission reviewed multiple development projects. This included a request to amend a Planned Development Conditional Use Permit (PDCUP) for the Willow Creek Subdivision, the approval of a Certified Survey Map for Gen 3 Properties/Wurzer Builders, and discussion on a senior living facility project involving rezoning and a Conditional Use Permit. The Commission also reviewed an extraterritorial plat for the Town of Lafayette and discussed various land use proposals, rezoning petitions, and certified survey maps for Chippewa Crossing.

The council held a closed session to conduct interviews for the City Administrator position and to evaluate the candidates' application materials and employment assessments. Upon returning to open session, the council voted on the next steps for the recruitment process and directed the search firm to continue the search for the City Administrator, as no offer was extended to the current finalists.
