The County Assessor provided a detailed history of the property's chain of title to clarify ownership and explained the county's assessment limitations and the statutory look-back period for tax abatements. The board discussed the limitations of their authority regarding the abatement and the need for the property owner to seek resolution through title insurance or the township regarding the status of the public road.
