This academic handbook for the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program at Genesee Community College outlines the program's mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives. The program aims to empower students to grow personally and professionally, developing the skills and knowledge to competently function as Physical Therapist Assistants in diverse clinical settings, demonstrate strong professionalism, and exhibit effective communication skills. These program goals are aligned with the college's strategic priorities of student support and success, teaching and learning, diversity and inclusive excellence, fiscal sustainability, and campus and community engagement.

Genesee Community College's 2023-2028 Strategic Plan, "Connect | Include | Evolve," builds upon the previous plan, "Framing Our Future."
