Compton College Economic Value Model 2035
The Compton College 2035 Economic Value Model presents a student-centered approach to evaluating and enhancing the educational value offered by the institution. It leverages return on investment (ROI) as both an accountability metric and a continuous improvement tool, focusing on equitable access, completion, and economic mobility, particularly for Black/African American and Hispanic/Latino students. The model integrates Alexander Astin's Input--Environment--Output framework and implements a Program Level Student Investment (PLSI) measure, operating through Deming's Plan--Do--Check--Act cycle. Its primary objectives are to reduce student costs, accelerate completion, strengthen workforce and transfer outcomes, and advance equity, leading to meaningful employment, successful transfer, economic security, and upward mobility for all students through a multiyear phased implementation roadmap.
