Gannon University has undertaken a 7-year strategic commitment, initiated in 2022, to respond to Pope Francis's Laudato Si' encyclical and foster an integral ecology. The plan focuses on developing a university culture that addresses the cry of the poor and the Earth, adopts sustainable lifestyles, advocates for the common good, rethinks education, promotes sustainable economic practices, and nurtures spirituality. This commitment is pursued through four core goals: educate global citizens in Laudato Si' principles, engage in research on integral ecology, advocate for deeper reflection and action, and foster transformative behaviors within university, local, and global communities.
