The Sugar City Council meeting addressed several key items. Planning & Zoning (P&Z) recommendations were reviewed, including a zoning correction for Old Farm Estates and a proposed city zoning map. The council approved the Old Farm Estates zoning correction but rejected the proposed zoning map due to procedural errors. A discussion of the 2009-2010 budget took place. Roadwork updates were provided, including highway resurfacing plans and curb and gutter installation. A public hearing was scheduled for a proposed sewer rate increase. Finally, the mayor reported on upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremonies and the Pioneer community breakfast.
