The board meeting agenda includes the introduction of the new Director of Planning and Community Development, Amelia Morton. The board discussed several zoning recommendations, including side and rear yard setback variances for property improvements. A pre-application meeting for a proposed condominium development was conducted, focusing on project design, open space conservation, infrastructure requirements, and traffic concerns. Amendments to land development and subdivision regulations regarding climate resiliency and drainage were reviewed and approved. Additionally, the board considered town ordinance updates related to stormwater management, flood hazards, and zoning requirements for parking and loading areas, ultimately recommending their consistency with the comprehensive plan. The session concluded with an update on staffing changes within the Planning Department.

The meeting included a review of and comments on the Newell Bridge Interpretive Panel, with a focus on signage location and potential sidewalk additions. Members were informed about a meeting with the Historic Metcalf-Franklin Farm Preservation Association to discuss the possibility of Franklin Farm entering a Local Historic District. The 2025 Rhode Island Local Officials Training Program was discussed. A new Vice Chair was appointed. Ideas for the town's 250th Anniversary were discussed, including a photo contest, a "250" sign in front of Town Hall, and decorations at the Monastery. Possible rain dates for cemetery cleanups were also discussed.

The commission continued a public hearing for the Ashton Dam Hydroelectric Development Project, which the applicant withdrew. A presentation was given on the Grants Mill National Register Nomination, including potential grant investments for high-resolution copies of historical sketches and photos, and the possibility of applying for a CLG grant and designating the site as a National Landmark or local historic district. The commission also discussed the upcoming CLG grant deadline, cemetery cleanup efforts including a planned workshop, and the installation of Historic Tower Hill signs.
