New Mexico State University Faculty Senate Leadership Committee Meeting Agenda
The committee meeting agenda addressed several key academic and administrative topics. A presentation was scheduled regarding NMSU ADA compliance efforts. Committee reports included proposals for amendments to Open Access Publication Fund allocation rules, the establishment of a voting faculty senate seat on the Global Faculty Advisory Council, and the creation of task forces for dual-career recruitment and retention, as well as innovation and entrepreneurship in faculty evaluation. Additionally, specific academic agreements and general education graduation requirements were assigned for review. Other items included a discussion on a letter to the President concerning research and scholarship goals, and announcements regarding volunteer needs for ad-hoc committees and faculty representation on the Integrated Campus Development Plan working group.
