The plan is grounded in clear priorities, measurable outcomes, and deep community engagement, developed through extensive input from various stakeholders including district leadership, educators, families, and industry partners. It centers on the 'Portrait of a Graduate'—a community-defined vision for students' future knowledge, skills, and mindsets. The plan focuses on four major objectives: improving student outcomes, elevating student, family, and community experiences, creating a positive workplace culture, and strategically aligning district facilities and investments.

The School Board is considering awarding Invitation to Bid No. ITB-22-035-MJ for transportation services for special needs, homeless, and foster care students. The initial term is for two years, with potential three additional one-year extensions. The contract will be awarded to two vendors, with a preference for African American or Non-Minority Woman-owned certified firms. The recommended vendors are Everdriven Technologies, LLC and RIDS Brother Company Inc.
