The Council of Trustees meeting included discussions and actions on various topics. The agenda was approved, and the minutes from the May 16, 2025 meeting were also approved. Trustee officers were nominated and approved for the 2026 term. The 2026 Council of Trustees meeting dates were approved. President Patterson reported on the passing of Dr. Robert Lesman and provided updates on enrollment growth, PASSHE sustainability metrics, Franklin Science Center renovations, and the adaptive reuse of Kriner Hall. Interim Provost Nicole Hill discussed the Academic Master Plan and its focus on innovative programs, access, student success, and hands-on learning opportunities. Vice President Jolinda Wilson presented the Comprehensive Planning Process (CPP), which was tabled until the next meeting, and shared information on purchases, contracts, and personnel actions. Vice President Megan Luft highlighted enrollment statistics and marketing efforts, including the new athletic logo launch. Vice President Lorie Sheetz provided updates on housing occupancy and dining services. Reports were also given by APSCUF, AFSME, SCUPA, Alumni Affairs, and the Student Government Association. A motion was made to approve recognition opportunities, and the meeting adjourned.

The 2020-2025 Strategic Plan for the Center for Land Use and Sustainability (CLUS) at Shippensburg University focuses on fostering healthy, vibrant, and sustainable communities through applied research, experiential learning, and interdisciplinary partnerships. Key goals include supporting community growth, enhancing student career pathways, connecting scholars with the community, elevating the university's regional leadership in sustainability and technology, and building the center's organizational and financial resilience. The plan prioritizes measurable outcomes, resource prioritization, increased participation, and information sharing, emphasizing sustainability, justice, equity, student success, and collaboration.

The Council of Trustees meeting included updates from President Patterson on accreditation, the Milton & Doreen Morgan School of Engineering, State System and Commonwealth matters, federal impacts on higher education, and campus renovations. The Provost presented on governance restructuring of Head Start oversight and the Chincoteague Bay Field Station. Updates were given on the College of Education and Human Services' anniversary celebration, the PA Student Teacher Support Fund, and the PASSHE PDO Grant. The Vice President for Administration & Finance introduced the new Director of Accounting and presented the 23-24 Financial Statement and Audit, along with affiliation compliance documents. The Vice President for Enrollment Management & Marketing discussed fall 2024 census results, recruitment efforts, and various marketing initiatives. The Vice President for Student Affairs highlighted student support services, the Big Red's Cupboard, community engagement, and mental health programs. Reports were also given by APSCUF, AFSCME, SCUPA, the Alumni Association, SGA, and the Graduate Student Association Board.

The Council of Trustees meeting included updates on strategic initiatives such as the Middle States planning process and the PASSHE Chancellor Search. Discussions covered the appropriations request for increased state system funding, faculty retirement programs, and implications of a U.S. Department of Education letter. Presentations were given by the SAE Baja team and engineering capstone class. Approvals were granted for the 2025 summer fees and refund schedule, as well as housing and dining rates for upcoming academic years. Reports were heard from various divisions including Enrollment Management & Marketing and Student Affairs, along with updates from APSCUF, AFSME, SCUPA, and the Alumni Association. The meeting also included recognition of former Trustee Bill Gindlesperger and concluded with scheduling the next meeting.
