Library Committee Library Meeting
The committee meeting covered two main reports. First, an update on the Bloomingdale branch relocation project was provided, noting that the project will not move forward as the community and council did not support repurposing the community center; staff will continue to support library services at the current location. Second, a usage trends report detailed performance across key areas including circulation, program attendance, and memberships, highlighting that library usage is trending upward in 2026. The committee also discussed library efficiency, cost per capita comparisons, and the impact of branch accessibility and operating hours on user activity.
